Introduction to Volunteering
Time Malawi welcomes volunteers from overseas for placements of 1-12 weeks. Volunteers can be individuals, families or groups of friends. If you are hard working, a team player with initiative and enthusiastic about international development then volunteering for Time Malawi could be the perfect opportunity to combine adventure and personal development while making a real difference.
Cost to Volunteer
The cost of volunteering on the programme is £245 per week. This covers accommodation, food, transport in Malawi and basic travel insurance.
Volunteers will need to fund their own flights and come with any additional spending money they may require.
In addition to the direct programme costs volunteers are expected to undertake fundraising activity to raise a minimum of £350. This money will go directly to funding projects in the rural communities that Time Malawi supports. Fundraising ahead of your trip should lead to a more rewarding volunteering experience as volunteers see for themselves how the money they have raised is benefiting communities in rural Malawi.

Once your application to volunteer for Time Malawi has been accepted you will be required to pay the full volunteering costs at least 4 weeks before you depart for Malawi.
